The Italian telecommunications (radio) are located in the old Agios Nikolaos "Radio", where the area got its name due to the property of the Italian building. "In war, wireless communication and timely information play a significant role. For years, it remains untouched, as if ghosts roam at night. Inside the huge empty rooms with the impregnable iron doors and the bars on the windows, you get the feeling that you will hear "morse code signals" and see the wireless operators with headphones on their ears!! The frequencies were such that they communicated with Cairo, Italy, Rhodes, but they had no contact with the other end of the island!! So, during the critical 5 days of bombardment, they used messengers and cannons to communicate with each other! One thing is for sure! The Germans broke the codes and thus had immediate information!!"
